Title of the Innovation: NEMAHARI-A PLANT BASED FORMULATION FOR MANAGEMENT OF MULBERRY ROOT KNOT DISEASE

Brief About Innovation

NEMAHARI-a plant based eco-friendly product formulation with 75% plant components and 25% chemical ingredients has been developed for the management of root knot disease of Mulberry. Tests conducted under laboratory level revealed reduction of disease severity by almost 82% and prevented loss of leaf yield by 22%. Trials conducted at Farmers fields resulted in reduction of disease incidence by 82 to 84% and reduction in leaf yield loss to the tune of 22-24%. Adoption of this technology has resulted with a cost benefit ratio of 1:2.2 when compared with the traditional practices of management of root knot disease.

Method of Application:

First application: Make trenches of 15 cm depth near the root zone and apply NEMAHARI mixture (6-7 g / plant or bush) and cover with soil which is followed by irrigation.

Second application: Repeat the above process 70-80 days after first application.

Third application: Repeat the application after 140-150 days after second application.

PLANT & MACHINERY: 

Mini grinder, mixing equipment, hot air oven, packing and sealing machine, weighing machine, miscellaneous items like trays / crates / containers etc. for handling and processing the product, etc. The approximate cost of plant and machinery required for manufacturing 10-15 MT / Year is less than Rs.1.00 Lakh.
