Title of the Innovation: HANDHELD AUDIOMETER
Brief About Innovation
The developed handheld Audiometer Device is used for the hearing assessment of the hearing impaired. The device is capable of testing air conduction and bone conduction pure tone audiometrics and generates audiograms. According to WHO reports, 1 in 5 people worldwide live with hearing loss. Carefully performed audiometry can make an invaluable contribution to diagnosis and management of patients with ear problems. It is in the above context that the scientific invention and development of a cost-effective audiometer become a critical link in the process of identification and monitoring of people with hearing loss. The current invention is a novel handheld audiometer, is cost-effective, light weighted handy device which is easy to operate with high accuracy using DSP controllers.
