Title of the Innovation: PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING PLANT BASED ANTI-VIRAL FORMULATION FOR SILK WORMS – ABHAYA
Brief About Innovation
Abhaya is a plant based anti-viral formulation comprising of antiviral substances isolated from plants. Abhaya is fed twice to young age silkworms through mulberry once on first day of first instar and another dose on first day of second instar. Abhaya prevents all silkworm viral diseases including grasseries, viral flacherie (infectious flacherie and white flacherie) during silkworm rearing. This is eco- and user-friendly approach without using any chemicals for disease management in Sericulture. It is a power formulation that is easily soluble in water.
Method of application:
5.0 g of Abhaya powder is mixed in one liter of water and sprayed on cut mulberry leaves and fed to silkworms.
Plant & Machinery:
Simple chemical mixing equipment, packing and sealing machine, etc.
