About Awishkar

The publication of Hindi science monthly magazine Awishkar was started in 1971.

The main objectives of the magazine are to disseminate information and create awareness about new technologies, inventions, innovations, IPR issues, etc. amongst the masses and foster the spirit of inventiveness, innovativeness and entrepreneurship amongst the students, scientists, technicians, budding entrepreneurs, etc.

Awishkar focuses on topics of current public interest and national importance relating to science, technologies, inventions, innovations and intellectual property rights.

In addition to exhaustive topical articles, the magazine also carries various regular columns – Vividha, Vaigyanikon Ka Bachpan, Kuchh Rochak Kuchh Prerak Prasang, Vigyan Sahitya Charcha, Bauddhik Sampada Kee Batain, Awishkar Aur Navachar, Khel-Khel Mein Vigyan, Samacharikee and NRDC Kee Praudyogikee - Apke Liye.

In the Vividha column short features on various S&T topics are published.

Vaigyanikon Ka Bachpan carries write-ups on the childhood of scientists, inventors, innovators, etc to put light on their circumstances from where they rose with their success stories. Biographies of scientists, inventors, Innovators, etc. are also published. In the column Kuchh Rochak, Kuchh Prerak Prasang interesting and inspiring anecdotes are published on scientists, inventors, innovators, entrepreneurs, etc In the Vigyan Sahitya Charcha column reviews of new books on science and technology are published. The column Bauddhik Sampada Kee Batain covers diverse topics on intellectual property rights.

Khel Khel Mein Vigyan is a column for schoolchildren in which the basic principles of science are explained. In Samacharikee, news items on S&T developments are published.

NRDC Kee Praudyogikee Apke Liye updates entrepreneurs on technologies available at NRDC for commercialization.
