Title of the Innovation: A Method of Fabricating Particleboard from Cellulosic Plant Material
Brief About Innovation
Brief about Technology: The present invention concerns a novel method and composition to fabricate particleboard from agricultural waste products viz. natural cellulose based material. The particleboards have been tested on universal testing machine. It can be fabricated from straw (barley, oats, rice, rye, or wheat).
Salient Technical Features: Can be manufactured in any size, shape, laminates as per requirement. It is commensurate in mechanical properties and comparable to the wood-based boards. It is cheaper, denser, and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood.
Advantages: Novel method, Cost effective, Environment-friendly, Green technology using agricultural waste products.
