The jajoba plant (Simmondsia Ehinensis Link) seed oil contains mono ethylenic fatty acids and alcohols (C20 and C24) which have good skin penetration similar to epidermal lipids. It also has property of curing minor skin diseases.

The body cream has been prepared from Jojoba seed oil and because of the inherent properties the cream offers improved skin conditioning. The cream is found to be non-greasy, smooth, soft and emmolient can be used for all seasons i.e. winter, summer and monsoon.

It does not require any synthetic emulsifier in its preparation and has long stability compared to other similar product available in market.

The Jojoba plantation has been introduced recently in India and its cultivation has been extended and undertaken by various interested agencies and parties in the country. It is expected that the basic raw material required for this cream i. e. Jojoba seed oil for industries will be available in near future.

Several good qualities of body creams are already in the market and people buy the particular brand according to their taste. Jojoba body cream prepared from Jojoba seed oil is expected to have the good scope due to its herbal origin, better skin conditioning and skin curing properties as well as emmoliency. Moreover, the cost of production of jajoba body cream is much less than the branded creams available in the market which are mostly seasonal. In view of that jajoba body cream can have better market potential.
