APPLICATION / USE:

To recover scientifically and efficiently materials like Hide, Tallow, Bone Dust and Meat meal from carcass.

SALIENT FEATURES: 

At present India is loosing nearly Rs.600 Crores annually due to non-recovery of useful waste materials like raw hide, meat meal, bone dust, tallow etc.   CMERI has developed an economically friendly technology with human face for alleviating the wretched working condition of the marginal section of the society engaged in the recovery of carcass and to arrest the wastage of precious raw materials.

STATUS:

CMERI has already fabricated, installed and commissioned Carcass Utilisation Plants at different states all over India.

LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT:

Design Development, fabrication, installation and commissioning of Carcass Utilisation Plants.

ECONOMIC UNIT SIZE AND INDICATIVE INVESTMENT:

The total earning from a single carcass is about Rs.16,600/-.  If 8 to 10 carcasses be processed daily, the generation of revenue will be about Rs.12,000/- to Rs.16,000/- per day per plant.

Workshop machines, welding set, hand tools. 

RAW MATERIALS INPUTS:

Pressure vessel, rotary drier, bone crusher, bone pulveriser, meat mincer, storage tank, weighing machine, flaying tools etc.

Available through Ministry of Industry, Govt. of India.
