BLUE TOOTH TECHNOLOGY

Bluetooth wireless technology is an open standard for wireless communication of data and voice based on a low cost, short-range radio link.

Bluetooth wireless technology enables Laptops, peripherals, cameras, cellular phones, headsets, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), and other types of portable devices to communicate with each other or with other appliances such as printer, desktop PCs and fax machines without cables.

With Bluetooth wireless technology, small transceiver modules can be built into a wide range of products, allowing fast and secure transmission of data and/or voice within a given radius(usually 10 meters)

Bluetooth operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band, an unlicensed band of the spectrum that is already well used for other RF communications technologies as well, most notable of which are Home RF and IEEE 802.11b.  Since this spectrum is unlicensed, even more uses for it are expected to be devised in the future.

CDAC(T) has developed several Bluetooth Products, with ready to manufacture technology the details of which are given below.
