NRDC's new scheme  arranges to provide General Technology Consultancy services to Indian industries, that have been suddenly exposed to international competition with the introduction of the new industrial policy of the Government of India.

The main objective of the scheme is to study the existing technology and business base of an industrial unit in some detail and on that basis, to identify, select and source new technological inputs needed by that unit and to upgrade its operations, so as to meet domestic as well as international competition.
